EXERCISE: INSTALL AN SNMP AGENT INSTALL AN SNMP AGENT ON YOUR SYSTEM USE: • PORT NUMBER = 2161 • COMMUNITY STRING = IMM YOU MAY CHOOSE WHATEVER SNMP AGENT YOU LIKE CONSIDER POSSIBLE EVALUATION VERSIONS ONCE THE AGENT IS INSTALLED, ENTER IN TELETOP: • IP NUMBER • SECURITY NAME (IN CASE OF SNMPv3) • SECURITY KEYS (IN CASE OF SNMPv3) • ADDITIONAL INFO, IF NECESSARY (LIKE WHEN YOUR SYSTEM WILL BE SWITCH ON/OFF)

Exercise 4: Install an SNMP Agent

In this exercise you have to install an SNMP agent on your system. Although you are free to select the agent software you like, Net-SNMP will generally be a good choice. The agent should run on Port number 2161 (instead of the default 161), and use community string IMM.
